Join us at Night Owl Books, East Linton, for a talk and book signing with local author Abi Elphinstone, on Sunday, 20th November, at 9.30am.
Abi will be introducing and reading from her new children's book, The Frost Goblin (the perfect book for frosty winter's nights and cosy Christmas mornings), followed by a book signing.
The Frost Goblin is suitable for children aged 5+, and for independent readers aged 7+.
Tickets include entrance to the event, and are fully redeemable against book purchases on the day. Please note, children must be accompanied by an adult.
About the book:
“The deepest frost has the power to rekindle hope in anyone who’s lost it…”
In Bertie Crash-Wallop's noisy family, it can sometimes feel like there is no room for a quiet boy like him. But when Bertie meets a family of goblins on the night of the deepest frost, is it possible he might make some magic and discover his own place in the world?
Join Bertie and the Frost Goblins on an exciting adventure in this beautifully moving story by the bestselling author of Sky Song and The Unmapped Chronicles, Abi Elphinstone, and renowned illustrator Fiona Woodcock.
Hardback, 64 pages, RRP £14.99.
About Abi Elphinstone:
Abi Elphinstone grew up in Scotland where she spent most of her childhood building dens, hiding in tree houses, and running wild across highland glens. After being coaxed out of her treehouse, she studied English at Bristol University and then worked as a teacher in Africa, Berkshire, and London.
She is the author of the Dreamsnatcher trilogy and the Unmapped Chronicles, among other books for young readers, and the editor of anthology Winter Magic.
When she’s not writing, Abi volunteers for the children’s literacy charity Coram Beanstalk, speaks in schools, and travels the world looking for her next story.
