Can I use my World Book Day token at Night Owl Books?
Yes you can! You can exchange your World Book Day token for a free World Book Day book at Night Owl Books until the 31st March. Read more about the books available here. Please note that we may run out of popular titles before the end of the redemption period, so would recommend popping in as soon as you can.
Can I buy a gift card for Night Owl Books online?
Absolutely! You can purchase a gift card for Night Owl Books here, which can be used on our website to book upcoming events or signed and special editions.
Can I order books through Night Owl?
If you would like to order a book for collection from the shop, please do send us an email with its title, author name, and ISBN if possible. We'd be grateful if you could let us know how quickly you would need it to arrive, as delivery times vary between publishers.
Alternatively, you can order books to be delivered to your home via Bookshop.org, who are doing amazing work to support independent bookshops!
Do you accept National Book Tokens?
We are now able to accept National Book Tokens! We also offer our own gift cards, redeemable on books, gifts, or any purchase at Night Owl.
Can I pay by card?
Yes please! Due to the security risk that cash poses, we really would be grateful if you could pay by card rather than cash when making a purchase at Night Owl - we try to keep minimal cash on the premises. We're also charged significantly higher fees by our bank to deposit cash than we are by our card provider in transaction fees.
Can I order a gift for someone to collect from the shop - and can you gift wrap it?
Absolutely! If you'd like to buy a present for someone to collect from the shop, and have it gift wrapped for them, we'd be happy to do this for you when you purchase our gift wrap (priced at £2.95 per sheet). Please email us on hello@nightowlbooks.co.uk to arrange gift wrapping.
I'm buying a gift - can I bring it back if they already have it?
We're sorry, but we're unable to accept returns for items purchased in-store, except in the case of faulty or damaged goods. As a small shop with limited storage space, we tend to only keep one copy of each book on the shelf, and re-order as they sell, meaning that once you purchase a book from us, we'll order more stock to replace it. If you're unsure what to gift, we do however offer gift vouchers!
How can I hear about upcoming book clubs and events at Night Owl Books?
The best way to hear about upcoming events is to join our mailing list - which you can do via the sign up box at the bottom of this page - please add hello@nightowlbooks.co.uk to your email contacts list to avoid our e-newsletters being sent to your spam folder!
I'd love to work in a bookshop - can I work at Night Owl?
We're sorry, but as a new, small business we're not currently in a position to take on staff, and do not have any vacancies.
I am a writer/artist/maker - would you be interested in stocking my work at Night Owl?
If you would like to discuss the possibility of supplying your products to Night Owl, please contact us with details of your book/products, trade prices and terms. You might also find this guide from the Booksellers Association helpful.
Does Night Owl buy or exchange second-hand books?
We're sorry, but due to limited space we cannot accept any second-hand book donations, and are not currently purchasing second-hand books.
